In a context in which humans need to reconsider our relationship with nature more than ever before, what about our relationship with insects? A recognised source of inspiration, they can provide answers to human issues. Beyond all the responses they currently offer, they are now being seen in a new light and being given creative roles in their own right. This dissertation therefore explores the forms of collaboration between insects and designers, as well as the ways in which they cohabit with users. It highlights the diversity of their world and presents insects as new and promising links in the manufacturing chain for design that seeks to be more responsible.
