For the first time, I am going to write my own story down on paper, seeking to better understand it and attempting to draw a few positive aspects of my personal and professional identity. As well as an exercise of personal rebuilding, I wanted to use this sadly all-too-topical subject to explore the role of women in society, from Antiquity to today: women’s slow and gradual emancipation, the current status of the body and the inner self, and thereby the importance we have accorded to the word “rape” up to now.
