Our project invites visitors to enter – concretely and symbolically – a mirror ball, the emblematic object of 70s nightclubs. Made up of a multitude of mirrors, it inspired us to create installations that showcase and spatialise the interconnection of unique actions and actors behind disco as a whole. Reflecting the light, this totem of movement led us to create light mapping which, like the music, contributes to the immersive aspect of our scenography, guiding visitors through different listening areas that punctuate the circuit. Full of surprises, the radiating plan allows for a great deal of freedom of movement and invites visitors to experience disco by diving into its celebratory, political and experimental facets.
