In 1987 in La Villette park, 26 Folies were designed by Bernard Tschumi. Based on a regular and orthogonal grid, a Folie is built every 120 metres, each with a dissonant architectural composition but one in harmony with the landscape. Each folly is built on a framework of 9 squares measuring 3.6 m. In the basement of one of these follies is a concert venue called Le Trabendo. The archaeological discovery of the foundations of Tschumi’s architecture becomes a fictional story on which our real space is built. Let us imagine the architect’s framework that spans all of Le Trabendo. A grid is created, revealing certain pillars which are represented in different states. This is when we can venture into the subterranean world of Bernard Tschumi.
