More than purely a musical movement, disco is the reflection of a time of struggle and the most profound issues. This exhibition project at the Philharmonie de Paris aims to highlight the influences and cultures associated with disco, by bringing together social, aesthetic and musical perspectives through a dialogue between the artworks. Without any discontinuity, visitors are guided by effects of gradation, shades and shapes that come together and evolve throughout the tour, offering passageways and links between the exhibition sections. Geometry and colour are used not only as references to the disco movement, but as fluid sequences between different disciplines, works and spaces, much like the effect of background music.
