“Back to the disco” is a scenography project designed for an exhibition on disco at the Philharmonie. Three major scenographic pillars shape the exhibition: a great deal of freedom of movement, an intense sensory immersion and, finally, a temporal porosity (as opposed to a linear chronology). As such, the space is organised into three main themes, each linked to the other by a monumental timeline that is visible from all areas of the exhibition, showing key dates and their associated events. Transitions between the different parts are gradual. Visitors are immersed in a colourful world filled with photographs, videos and clothes from the time, accompanied by a permanent soundscape.
