Furniture has a life cycle that often remains the same: production, use and end of life.In a public establishment such as a school, when we change the furniture we do not concern ourselves with the fate of what is being replaced. But if we come up with a user manual that would allow us to make our own school furniture using recovered materials, we could reduce the environmental impact considerably. In this project, I begin with a survey conducted at applied art schools to find out more about students’ material needs, in order to then design furniture made with a universal user manual, open to all.
