that we have all experienced to varying degrees over the course of our lives and which, in most cases, have left a lasting memory on us. It is this image, this very personal memory or perhaps the idea we might have of a place, a patio, that sets us apart in terms of how we perceive this space. A space full of contradictions, on the threshold between the private and the public. A timeless place, between the \u201coutside\u201d and the \u201cinside\u201d, where everyone can feel at home while living as a community. The qualities of a patio are at once contradictory and complementary: small in terms of geometry and the space it occupies within the home, but large in terms of the objective and the expectations that residents place on it.
