Celles est un petit village du sud de la France, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 54km de Montpellier, sur les berges du lac du Salagou.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

L\u2019enjeu du projet est de revaloriser le centre bourg du village, coeur de l\u2019activit\u00e9 et de la vie publique du village. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019en faire un lieu de convivialit\u00e9 et de rencontre pour les habitants . Un lieu qui pr\u00e9senterait tous les commerces de proximit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaires, un lieu de convivialit\u00e9 et des bureaux pour les travailleurs.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

La nouvelle place du village est signifi\u00e9e par un travail du sol. L\u2019enjeu est que le sol puisse devenir l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment f\u00e9d\u00e9rateur d\u2019unit\u00e9 entre tous les services publics.

les diff\u00e9rents commerces et services sont reli\u00e9s entre eux par un r\u00e9seaux des galeries qui cr\u00e9e un parcours dans lequel les habitant sont amen\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u00e9ambuler.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Un ponton et de nombreuses perc\u00e9es dans les b\u00e2timents, offrant des points de vue sur le lac permettent d\u2019inclure celui dans la nouvelle centralit\u00e9 du village.
Un point d\u2019eau est \u00e9galement install\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la place pour signifier l\u2019importance de l\u2019eau dans ce nouveau centre bourg.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

L\u2019extension et une galerie sont surmont\u00e9s de toits en acier corten. Cette intervention cr\u00e9e le dialogue entre l\u2019architecture vernaculaire d\u2019origine et l\u2019intervention contemporaine. Elle \u00e9voque \u00e0 la fois le pass\u00e9 du village, l\u2019histoire de son expropriation et sa renaissance.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

The nearby village of Celles was expropriated to prevent flooding. However, as the water level never reached it, the village was ultimately spared, but it remains uninhabited. Abandoned for 50 years, the vernacular constructions collapsed and fell into ruin on the edges of the lake.\u00a0Since the 2000s, the town hall has sought to bring this village back to life.
